ABOUT
My name is Shahnaz Sodager, a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst located in Oakhurst, CA.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Master’s degree in Teaching with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis. I have experience in the field of ABA for over ten years. My career started working as a 1:1 school based Behavior Therapist and I expanded to home and clinic based behavioral intervention. My experience working with child on the Autism Spectrum range from ages 3 to 23.
Working as an afterschool teacher at a local school in Los Angeles I came across a student in my classroom with Autism. While observing and interacting with him I wanted to understand his unique behaviors. Soon after I found employment as a Behavior Therapist to learn more about Autism and the depth of behavior therapy. I discovered how much I made a difference working with these clients as I watched the leaps and bounds of progress they made each day. It was sincerely gratifying. There were instances of nonverbal children gradually starting to use their words to communicate and others aversive to toileting becoming fully toilet trained! I love what I do and feel blessed to be in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis Therapy. My focus is on each child’s individual abilities and building skills around their needs.
Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, reading and spending time with my friends, family and my Corgi, Kashi.
