ABOUT
Behavior Consultant
Shahnaz Choe is a dedicated Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) based in Central California, bringing over 15 years of experience supporting children, families, and school teams. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology and her Master's degree in Teaching with an emphasis on Applied Behavior Analysis. Shahnaz began her career as a 1:1 school-based Behavior Therapist and later expanded her expertise to include home- and clinic-based services.
While working as an after-school instructor in Los Angeles, she encountered a student with Autism who sparked her deep interest in guiding behavioral growth. Since then, she has conducted numerous Functional Behavior Assessments, developed comprehensive Behavior Support Plans, and provided extensive training and consultation services to parents, teachers, paraprofessionals, and school administrators.
Shahnaz finds great fulfillment in witnessing children reach key milestones, whether it’s seeing nonverbal children begin to communicate or watching those who once struggled with frequent meltdowns learn effective coping strategies. She is equally passionate about helping families achieve smoother mornings, easier transitions, and a more peaceful home life.
Beyond her clinical practice, Shahnaz serves as an adjunct professor, teaching Applied Behavior Analysis to future BCBAs. In her personal life, she enjoys traveling, cooking, staying active, and continually deepening her understanding of human behavior and psychology. Above all, she treasures the time spent with family and friends and cherishes her role as a loving mother to her daughters.
